ECO SUMMERHOUSE
SNEYD PARK, BRISTOL BS9

Scope of Build: A new-build suspended deck and a highly energy-efficient summerhouse, with timber frame construction and high levels of insulation, and a mechanical ventilation unit with heat recovery.

Outcome: Our clients wanted to replace an existing and uninspiring narrow detached garage with a habitable space, making the most of views of their dramatic, steep garden, achieved with large expanses of triple-glazed corner windows. The summerhouse makes for a warm, bright space floating amongst tree canopies, linking with the main house with a generous, bare-foot friendly outdoor space.
